Appliances of SpagoBI, the only 100% open source, complete and flexible business intelligence suite

SpagoBI/Ingres Analytical Platform is a bundle solution for the development of Open Source Business Intelligence Applications at the enterprise level. The bundle, which integrates SpagoBI 2.4 with Ingres database version 9.3, offers the opportunity to quickly start one's own projects, thanks to its single applicative ready-to-use environment and its pre-defined analytical documents, which cover the typical use cases of business intelligence projects. Its wide range of analytical engines, the organic and harmonious vision of the BI platform as well as the robustness and excellence of Ingres databases make this solutions particularly suitable to complex BI projects.

SpagoBI Analytical Appliance offers a complete and preconfigured analytical environment, distributed as a virtual appliance, which combines a SpagoBI Suite Server module, one of the most suitable and reliable operating systems and some of the most adopted open source RDBMS. The Appliance is available now for some of the main 2.x versions of SpagoBI. It is based on SUSE SLES 11 and realised through Novell SuSE Studio.

At present, the following two versions are available: SpagoBI Analytical Appliance for MySQL, integrating SpagoBI Server 2.3 and MySQL 5.0 SpagoBI Analytical Appliance for Ingres, integrating SpagoBI 2.4 and Ingres Database 9.3

Compared to the Bundle, the Appliance also offers the robustness and reliability that are usually provided by common enterprise-level software. At the same time, it improves and simplifies the process to setup the operating system to start Business Intelligence projects, considerably reducing the setup time.

The bundles are released as a totally open source version, downloadable from the OW2 Consortium forge.
